Mary Grace and Brad
“April showers bring May flowers” (and extra creativity when you’re a wedding vendor on a rainy wedding day!)
When I arrived during a torrential downpour to begin photographing Mary Grace and Brad’s wedding day, I could see the concern all over the bride’s face wondering if she’d be able to pull off her dream outdoor wedding on her parents’ farm. The radar was showing the possibility of a clearing by show time, but what if it was wrong? It was such a gamble, but I am so grateful that they hired fabulous wedding planners, Robert and Joseph with Riverwood Designs, who were willing to wait until literally the last minute, flipping (and then unflipping) the reception space, to make the dreamy outdoor wedding a reality. Umbrellas were distributed to guests, and the ceremony went on as planned. We all breathed a sigh of relief as Mary Grace and Brad were announced as husband and wife, knowing that we had pulled it off (thank you, Mother Nature!) The rest of the evening went off without a hitch, and I even managed to pull the couple out for some gorgeous sunset photos. A rainbow even appeared in the last minutes of daylight. So happy these two lovebirds have photos that they can treasure for a lifetime and that they had *just enough* rain for a lifetime of luck!
p.s. If you are going to have rain at your wedding, make it cute with these adorable totes umbrellas!
