Tess & Tristan were married on a beautiful Virginia summer day at the James River Country Club. They had over 200 guests and planned the entire event in only two short months, in advance of Tristan’s upcoming deployment. Most of the attendees came from out of state, including the bride’s parents, who helped plan the wedding all the way from New York. Aside from the gorgeous floral, soft colors, and timeless simple wedding gown, elements of this wedding I loved include a cocktail hour before the ceremony, so guests could mingle and cool off, a first look for Tess and Tristan that involved popping a bottle of champagne, and photos (barefoot!) at sunset on the dock. They ended the evening with a sparkler exit and drove away in a classic car adorned with tin cans. I am so happy for them both and am thrilled to have been their wedding photographer.

Their nuptials wouldn’t have been complete without […]
There’s nothing like planning a wedding when you live across the country. Literally. Dessi & Carter live in sunny California. They both attended William & Mary (where Dessi played Division 1 volleyball!) and decided to return here to tie the knot on a friend’s riverfront property in Gloucester. As luck would have it, they had […]
Mary Grace and Brad “April showers bring May flowers” (and extra creativity when you’re a wedding vendor on a rainy wedding day!) When I arrived during a torrential downpour to begin photographing Mary Grace and Brad’s wedding day, I could see the concern all over the bride’s face wondering if she’d be able to pull […]
