I always encourage my out-of-town couples to consider an engagement session in Williamsburg. There are just so many beautiful spots to take portraits. And, Williamsburg is beautiful in every season. While these two were in town lining up wedding details, we met for a session around the Historic Area before they hit the road back to Northern Virginia. I couldn’t love these photos more, and I can’t wait for these two to tie the knot at the James River Country Club in 2025!

Olivia and Colden wanted to capture their time in Williamsburg before the military took them to Alaska. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for their beachfront session. I love that they’ll be able to look back on these warm sunny photos while navigating the wintry conditions of life in Alaska.
I was excited when Emily contacted me to let me know that her sweet baby girl had arrived. The first twelve days after birth are known as the “sleepy phase,” but this little one was so alert and awake most of the session. She finally tuckered out the last 15 minutes, so I was able […]
Dessi & Carter met at William & Mary and planned a riverfront wedding at a friend’s private residence in Mathews, Virginia. Dessi was a college volleyball player, and this was the first wedding that I was completely surrounded by women as tall (or taller!) than me (5’10” here!) There was even a volleyball net set […]
Most of my sessions take place in the scenic streets and gardens of Colonial Williamsburg, so taking Emily and Nathan through the city streets of Richmond was definitely a change of scenery. But, I LOVED IT! Within a block or two, there was so much stunning architecture. It honestly felt like we were in D.C. […]
Tess & Tristan were married on a beautiful Virginia summer day at the James River Country Club. They had over 200 guests and planned the entire event in only two short months, in advance of Tristan’s upcoming deployment. Most of the attendees came from out of state, including the bride’s parents, who helped plan the […]
Meet Laura and Liam, full-time RV-ers, who tied the knot on the sands of Virginia Beach. Liam, a former Navy SEAL, spent quite a bit of time in Virginia Beach, and it held a special place in both his and Laura’s hearts, since it’s where their relationship began. Their nuptials wouldn’t have been complete without […]
Mary Grace and Brad “April showers bring May flowers” (and extra creativity when you’re a wedding vendor on a rainy wedding day!) When I arrived during a torrential downpour to begin photographing Mary Grace and Brad’s wedding day, I could see the concern all over the bride’s face wondering if she’d be able to pull […]
